Google Datacenters Still Shifting?

March 23rd, 2006 by Joe Griffin

It’s hard to believe that Google has been shifting live datacenters around for the last month(give or take a few days). People all over the country are seeing different results at different times of the day. I hope this calms soon, and settles down with the new real live results.

  1. We’re still seeing quite a few sites that show either fewer indexed pages in Google or old versions of cached pages in the search results. Some Google page ranks are still fluctuating, too. The newest reports talk about a leveling off of this fluctuation within the next week, with results being updated across all datacenters hopefully at that time.
